Min sees Russia’s ag industry 2021 performance no worse than 2020
MOSCOW, May 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s farming industry will not develop any slower in 2021 than in 2020 if the weather is favorable, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev told reporters on Wednesday.
“This year we expect the industry’s development to end up no lower than we saw last year, and several results of the first quarter have proved the fact,” he said.
“Our farming industry reached high development results although the world’s food market encountered new unprecedented challenges in 2020… In the crisis conditions, most states increased food imports, and the global food prices hit record highs.”
